Art 1 students are busy starting the largest project of the year! INSTALLATION ART! Working in groups of three or four, students actively researched what installation art is, who does it, and how can they be inspired by it.
Once the students completed sketches about three different artists they researched, they dove into creating their very own installation art piece to be placed inside the school. Part of the requirements of the assignment is that their artwork must at minimum be 5ft. in one direction. Another requirement was that they must have a photographer that documents their work throughout the building process, installation process, and every day for the 5 days it is installed in the building. This documentation will be put together in a presentation to show their experiences and have a point of reflection for all the groups.
